Intro #
So a very short post, but i want to let you know that i decided to deploy a CDN which would hold some of the graphical content of my web-blog.
Why did i decide on this? #
I was thinking about future proofing my web-blog for if there would be more then 30 posts in the future. Some of my posts will include (a ton of) Images and other graphical or audio assets and i did not want to store it on the contianer for the web-blog. I wanted it so that web-blog container would just store the website templates and hugo html stuff and then it would contact a external (also selfhosted on proxmox) cdn server to fetch the Images and content. This also makes it so i dont bloat the webserver itself and have it fetch the Images externally. I seen this on other websites and blogs so i decided that i also want to do this. And i also like embedding images and other stuff to make the posts hopefully a bit more entertaining/interesting to read and so i can show what i mean/am talking about.
Deployment #
SO i have not yet made it so every post fetches its media files from the CDN, but i now only made it so 1 post fetches its media from the CDN and that is the post about “Deploying Opnsense”. Also this current post you are reading makes use of the CDN. It might be a bit slow and i have not yet tested it under load but i am still experimenting with it and its still a WIP. If i know its stale and works goood enough/well, i might edit some previous posts to also use the CDN and slowly phase out big local asset folders. The CDN is hosted at http://cdn.309electronics.net. I made a sort of “Welcome” page so if users visit it you will get to see the Image below.

to Wrap it up #
So thats currently what i am busy with. I dont have much time due to school and studying for that stupid math exam, but this project was done in like 1.5 hours in the evening of friday. And Now after i finished studying, i wrote a small post about it.
Below is are a few small fun gifs to show the CDN in action :)
