Introduction #
This blog is a place where i share projects, ideas and some of my hobby adventures and other hobby related stuff that i like for everybody else to read. I’m always open to feedback/criticism, but i will put a few rules/terms in place just to keep things nice and peacefull. Those rules are not meant to lock down like a prison, but rather are a respectfull way of me saying “Please do not harras or bully each other” and letting people be themselves and letting them have their opinions and feedback. You will be as free to read/think/give feedback/do anything you like as long as its still in the borders of respectfull. Criticising others is also allowed, as long as, again, its in the borders of respect. in todays modern worldd, respect is getting less and less common and i try to atleast use/harvest the bit of respect we still have in ourselves these days, to avoid this blog becomming a toxic wasteland. Thats also why i will avoid talking about politics or any other tense elements and i try to focus more on the fun/tech things.
I am so chronically online thse days that sometimes my current mood/energy levels get the best of me and makes it so i put out slightly sensitive (maybe a bit biased) opinions/comments and i am sorry for those! I am still working on regulating and improving myself and also making it so i can reflect upon those. In the end i am also just a human and can make mistakes. But i am atleast working on ironing out those accidents and reflecting upon myself so i can become a better human/person and can also often think “Maybe i should not have posted that”. And outside of that, i am trying to stay out of controversies and any of that stuff and now am also more focussing on the fun/helpfull things and other than those mood driven moments, i can also provide good advise/help/genuinely good stuff.
Guidelines #
- Be respectfull. - No harassment or bullying people (also not bullying them based on religion/politics/gender/race). Disagreements and feedback are welcome, as long as you keep it respectful. Please do not directly attack other people for their opinions or visions, but rather try to provide reasoning/constructive feedback/criticism so they know how to improve themselves, but dont attack them just because they be how they are.
- Feedback and criticism is welcome! You are allowed to disagree or provide constructive criticism/feedback to either the website, me or other commenters. I really do appreciate feedback and improvements and or critcism so i can improve my services and this website/blog/my other websites and i genuinely encourage people to do so as we should be free to give others tips and improvements as in the end it will be better for all of us. I also encourage to give other people/commenters feedback/tips on what they could improve as it genuinely helps make the world a better place. Again, within the borders of respect.
- No spam or self-promotion. Please dont promote anything or spam in the comments. This blog will have posts that people can react on to give feedback or insights on stuff and i rather not want to ban or moderate anyone for this reason. If you do it, your post will be removed and i will respectfully tell you to stop doing it. If you want to advertize, this blog is not the right place to do so. Thats also why this blog is free and has no advertizers or telemetry tracking embedded as i want it to be a free resource for everyone to read and i want it to stay that way.
- Please stay on topic. Its fine if you drift away a bit from topic to, lets say, explain stuff better, but if its a comment about electronics, please stay on topic and relevant and dont post (example) something about tacos.
- Have fun and feel welcome. This blog is open to the public and will stay open to the public. This is one of those few places where there purposely are no advertisements or tracking/telemtry or paywalls. I dont even need/want you to sign up for some bullcrap or sell your soul and data to a databroker. This blog is selfhosted by me, an independent hobbyist, on my own hardware and i am heavily against paywalls and taking away user rights/data without consent. This will be a free public resource anyone can use/access for free for lifetime (or atleast as long as i am alive). I did put in a subscription service for a newsletter if you are interested and want to stay up to date with when i post a new article, but thats not a must and i dont even implement a popup that screams in your face “Please sign up” or “Please sign up pwease!”. And its free to subscribe and unsubscribe at any time without even needing to mention a reason or fill in a “we are sorry to see you go, please fill in why you leave” form. Comment moderation #
I moderate in an ethical way that feels both right for me and you. As long as you dont break any of the above mentioned rules, You are free to comment whatever you want. If you do break the rules, your comment will either be hidden or it will be blocked for some amount of time and i will send you a notice email about what rules you broke and your comment. I will always give people a second chance as we are all human and all make mistakes. It could just be as simple as you having a bad day and accidentally impulse-embedding all that negative energy into a comment under an article. I will then hide or block it for a short period of time (to not disturb other visitors) and send you a mail so you can know what you did wrong/why your comment was flagged.
Then you can fix your mistakes by modifying the comment. And if it does not break the rules again after you fixing it (either by removing and rewriting the comment or editing it), everything is fine again. SO please take the chance as a gift as i am not a fan of blocking/banning people/comments. I can also (before allowing it on the platform again) verify if your comment stops breaking the rules if you like.
